2024 AGM: Friday, February 2nd

The 2024 Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday, February 2nd. The AGM is an open meeting for all those with an interest in the future of Rockland GAA. If you feel you have something to contribute, don’t sit on the sidelines and complain about it. Attend the AGM and get involved, put your ideas forward – get your point across. Have your say in the future of the Green & White. Listen to what is going on inside your club. Learn what it takes to run the club effectively. Meet the decision makers – even become a decision maker. This is not a closed forum.
Remember everyone is a volunteer, everyone has a part to play. Find out what it takes to become an active volunteer. Find out what the club is doing for you, your children, and your community.
Maybe you are a former player or coach and want to get involved again. Maybe your family has a long-standing association with the club, but you are disconnected and want to get involved. Don’t listen to those telling you “it takes up so much of your time” – remember why you first became involved with the club – the GAA is one big family who is there for each other.
In no other world will you have the bond that is developed through your club so don’t let the critics put you off and don’t allow them the forum to present inaccuracies about the teams or the club. Opinions are always welcome throughout the year and there is no better forum for them than the AGM.
So if you are a player, coach, manager, parent, supporter, sponsor, volunteer, or simply would like to know more, then this year’s AGM is for you and we want you there.
